"This isn't working," the CHRO said when she called. She knew about the tight market, she had people on leave and new hires who needed training. Retention was a challenge and business was booming. She had to fix the talent acquisition function... fast.
We set two overarching goals: reduce time-to-fill and improve hiring manager satisfaction.
We launched a systematic review of every stage of the hiring process, explored available resources, people, and tools, and prioritized the work.
From there, we started what can only be called a transformation. Through a series of large and small changes, some popular, some less so, we updated processes, renegotiated vendor agreements (and changed vendors who weren’t delivering), retrained teams and hiring managers, re-upped SLAs and KPIs, finessed systems to provide better reporting, and… and…. and…
The end result was something to celebrate: an upskilled TA team with the tools and processes they needed to hire better, and faster. Our goals were to reduce time-to-fill and improve hiring manager satisfaction.
It's working.
